Moss type: MossThis gray-green moss is commonly found growing in large clumps In damp forests.
It is big, growing up to 10 inches (25 cm) tall. It forms in thin clumps, and is overwhelmingly light.
When mature, emerald spiral capsules grow at the end of long, lime green sporophytes, eventually opening up during the mid-summer to release hundred of spores; it can cause allergic reactions.
It aggressively steals nutrients from other large plants (but not each other).
It is suitable for making baskets and the like
