Crimson Vine

This modest-sized vine is a steady-growing plant, with the largest known specimen reaching a length of 37 feet (11.3 meters) and growing as high as 32 feet (9.8 meters).

It takes 19 months for the moss green or red stems to mature, by which point they can have a diameter of 5 inches (13 cm) and are thick and twisted.

The finger-like, leathery leaves reach up to 6 inches (15 cm) in length. They are crimson at the bottom and blood red with caramel splotches at the top, and have ripped edges.

During late spring, the vine produces handfuls of average crimson flowers.
