Violet creeper
Climbing plant type: Creeper (Grows along the ground or other low surfaces.)This large creeper is a steady-growing plant, with the largest known specimen reaching a length of 314 feet (95.7 meters) and growing as high as 119 feet (36.3 meters).
It takes 2 years for the yellow-green stems to mature, by which point they can reach a diameter of 9 inches (23 cm) and are flat and wavy.
The slender, pointed, smooth leaves reach up to 2.8 feet (84 cm) in length. They are dark brown and violet, and have ripped edges.
During late spring, the creeper produces hundreds of giant slate flowers.
It is suitable for making baskets and the like
Once on fire, it burns very quickly.
