This copper moss is commonly found growing in tiny clumps In rainforests.
It is modest-sized, growing up to 4 inches (10 cm) tall. It forms in thick clumps, and is extremely light.
When mature, emerald oblong capsules grow at the end of elongated, lime green sporophytes, eventually opening up during the mid-summer to release thousands of spores.

The leaves are very toxic, and very sweet.
It is suitable for creating tough, hard-wearing textiles
The sap is hazel.
