Azurepetal

This big flower grows up to 4.9 feet (1.5 meters) tall. Its moss green stem is wispy and splits into 9 branching stems at the base, and the miniature, red leaves are needle-like with wavy edges. The leaves alternate on the stem from about halfway up, up to the flower head.

Two medium-sized flowers sit at the end of the stem. The flowers are 74 cm (29.1 inches) wide, with solid azure petals and a dark grey central disk. The flower head is made up of several petals in raised layers. They are sturdy.

It has a delicate scent that smells like new books, and it has copious amounts of pollen; it does not cause many allergic reactions. It is pollinated by a small species of bird.
