Violet Succulent

Succulent type: Leaf succulent (Stores water in its leaves)

This average-sized leaf succulent grows up to 57 feet (17.4 meters) tall. The pleated stem is violet, and is covered in handfuls of fine, lime, hair-like spines. The thick leaves are blood red at the bottom and amber with turquoise patches at the top. Large amounts of them grow on thin, burgundy branches that are very short and thin. The leaves are durable, but do not detach easily.

It is steady-growing, taking 5 years to reach maturity. Once mature, several flowers with solid purple petals and a peach central disk grow at the top, reappearing every year. The flower head is shaped like a heart with 16 raised, round-tipped petals. It has a delicate scent that smells like faeces.

The leaf succulent's skin is thin, the vibrant green flesh is rough, and the lilac sap is thin and has hallucinogenic properties.
