Copperbell

Shrub type: Deciduous (Grows upwards by winding itself around other objects and plants.)

This giant shrub grows up to 13 feet (4.0 meters) tall and lives for decades, with the oldest known specimen being around 136 years old. It is very resistant to destructive insect infestation but susceptible to disease.

It has dozens of sturdy, curved stems covered in knobbly, copper-coloured bark, and the wood inside is pine-coloured.

The branches trail down towards the ground with thousands of twigs that and are covered with small amounts of small, wide, leaves with toothed edges. The leaves themselves are either amber or sky blue, with copper patches, frail and smooth.

In early spring it produces dozens of medium-sized, olive flowers with stiff, pointed petals with a bell-shaped floral cup. They are hardy and have a delicate scent that smells like misty mornings.

It is suitable for making baskets and the like
It out-competes most other plants for nutrients and light.
It is almost impossible to grow indoors.
