Copperbell

This short caudiciform grows up to 1 foot (30.5 cm) tall. The wide stem is copper, and is covered in many flexible red spines. The slanted, slate trunk can grow to as much as 1 foot (30.5 cm) in diameter at the top. Its moss green branches are very short and slender and start growing a quarter of the way up the stem.

The handfuls of toothed-edged, long, tapering leaves are emerald with crimson tips. They are flimsy, but easily come away when pulled.

It is very slow growing, taking 47 years to reach maturity. Once mature, several flowers with petals that are bronze on the edges and muted orange at the center grow at the top, reappearing every year. The flower head is an uncoordinated mess of 26 curved petals. It has a faint scent that smells like vomit.

The caudiciform's skin is thin, the copper flesh is smooth, and the azure sap is thin.
