Crimson Moss

This pink-red moss is commonly found blanketing tiny areas In bogs, and On rotten logs.
It is modest-sized, growing up to 4 inches (10 cm) tall. It forms in large clumps and they are exceptionally hardy, and is overwhelmingly flimsy.
When mature, emerald heart-shaped capsules grow at the end of short, lime green sporophytes, eventually opening up during the early summer to release dozens of spores.
