Copper

This big leaf succulent grows up to 99 feet (30.2 meters) tall. The asymmetrical stem is light yellow, and is covered in copious amounts of fine, dark brown, hair-like spines. The irregular-edged, wide leaves are found in silver, aquamarine and light purple varieties. Large amounts of them grow from the base in a symmetrical pattern. The leaves are flimsy, but are very difficult to pull away.

It is very fast growing, taking 5 months to reach maturity. Once mature, a handful of flowers, with petals that are copper at the sides and blood red at the center, grow at the top, reappearing once every 7 years. The flower head is shaped like a cup with 13 tightly layered, round-tipped petals. It has a scent that varies in strength that smells like lavender.

The leaf succulent's skin is thin, the hazel flesh is leathery, and the light grey sap is thin.
