Magentaivy

Flower type: Annual (Stores water in its leaves)

This short flower grows up to 4 inches (10 cm) tall. Its silver stem is wispy, and the large, gray-green leaves are asymmetrical with irregular edges. Many leaves grow along the entire length of the stem.

Two medium-sized flowers sit at the end of the stem. The flowers are 3 cm (1.2 inches) wide, with solid magenta petals and a pink central disk. The flower head is largely flat with 9 raised narrow petals. They fall easily.

It has a soft scent that smells like skunk spray, and it has copious amounts of pollen; it can can cause allergic reactions. It is pollinated by the wind.

Ivy often grows along the trunk.
It is suitable for creating fine, soft textiles
The leaves are bland but very healthy.
