Copperactus

This small cactus grows up to 12 feet (3.7 meters) tall. It splits randomly along the body to form 3 pleated stems. Each stem is silver or peach, and is covered in handfuls of rigid blood red spines. The spherical body is light purple, and is dotted with small lime spines.

It is steady-growing, taking 13 months to reach maturity. Once mature, and only under the right conditions, a handful of flowers, with petals that are copper at the sides and blood red at the center, grow at the top, reappearing after 5 years, but only when the conditions are right again. The flower head is shaped like a tube made up of 11 tightly layered, round-tipped petals. It has a scent that varies in strength that smells like rainy days.

The cactus's skin is very thick, the blue flesh is waxy, and the blood red sap is thin.
