Silverbell

This short tree grows up to 5 meters (16.4 feet) tall and lives for centuries, with the oldest known specimen being around 462 years old. It is very resistant to disease but is susceptible to destructive insect infestation.

It has a long and flexible, straight trunk covered in very thick, cracked, silver and white bark, and inside, the very dense wood is brown.

The branches are very short and thick and are covered with very large amounts of covered in fine hairs, small, perforated leaves with irregular edges. The leaves themselves are generally light brown.

In early spring, it produces thick bunches of medium-sized, indigo blossoms with many layers of petals with a trumpet-shaped floral cup. They are very delicate and have a scent that varies in strength that smells like paint.

In late summer it forms medium-sized, subtle purple berries.

The roots are fine and grow in a large web, and overall the tree is sturdy and rigid.

Forests of this species feature the trees packed together densely, with the space between filled with undergrowth.
