Purple Creeper

It takes 17 months for the burgundy stems to mature, by which point they can have a diameter of 7 inches (18 cm) and are smooth and woody.
The heart-shaped, smooth leaves reach up to 2.0 feet (61 cm) in length. They are purple and intense purple, and have serrated edges.
