Brown Moss

This brown moss is commonly found growing in medium-sized clumps In marshes.
It is short, growing up to 2 inches (5 cm) tall. It forms in sparse patches and they are exceptionally hardy, and is slightly flexible.
When mature, emerald cylindrical capsules grow at the end of short, lime green sporophytes, eventually opening up during the mid-summer to release dozens of spores; it does not cause many allergic reactions.
