Yellow Spine Cactus
Succulent type: Stem succulent (Stores water in its stem)This big cactus grows up to 95 feet (29.0 meters) tall. It splits randomly along the body to form 4 wide stems. Each stem is gray-green, and is covered in large amounts of fine, deep yellow, hair-like spines.
It is very slow growing, taking 9 years to reach maturity. Once mature, a handful of flowers, with petals that are cyan at the sides and crimson at the center, grow at the top, reappearing every year. The flower head is an uncoordinated mess of 33 petals. It has a powerful scent that smells like cheese.
The cactus's skin is tough, the yellow flesh is leathery, and the red sap is thin.
It only grows on the most fertile lands.
All parts of the moss are edible.
It is suitable for making paper
