Embermoss

This gray and caramel moss is commonly found growing in giant clumps On trees, and In rainy mountain ranges.
It is short, growing up to 3 inches (8 cm) tall. It forms in thin clumps and they spread and grow quickly, and is extremely durable.
When mature, emerald flame-shaped capsules grow at the end of long, lime green sporophytes, eventually opening up during the early summer to release millions of spores.
