Copper

This enormous flower grows up to 9.8 feet (3.0 meters) tall. Its green stem is very thin and splits into numerous branching stems halfway up, and the huge, copper and intense green leaves are long, tapering with tattered edges. A pair of leaves grow at the base of the stem.

1 to 3 giant flowers grow on alternate sides up the length of the stem. The flowers are 51 cm (20.1 inches) wide, with grey petals on the lower layer and olive petals decorated with muted orange dots on the inner layer. The central disk is blue. The flower head is largely flat with 7 tightly layered narrow petals. They are sturdy.

It has an intense scent that smells like pineapple, and it has an average amount of pollen. It is pollinated by insects and is visited by a large variety of them.
