Emerald

This yellow-green moss is commonly found blanketing small areas On rotten logs, and In heathlands.
It is short, growing up to 2 inches (5 cm) tall. It forms in small clumps and they are slow to spread and grow, and is very flimsy; it struggles more than most during dry spells.
When mature, emerald flame-shaped capsules grow at the end of short, lime green sporophytes, eventually opening up during the early summer to release dozens of spores; it can cause allergic reactions.
