Grass type: Perennial (Stores water in the thickened base of its stem)This small, gray-green grass grows up to 1 foot (30.5 cm) tall. The circular stalks grow in small clumps that are delicate and they spread and grow quickly.
When mature, the end of the stem eventually transforms into a small, sky blue spikelet.
During the early winter, it produces very little pollen, and after flowering, it is left with copious amounts of small grains.
It is suitable for creating flexible, durable textiles
