Blood Puff Grass
Grass type: Biennial (Stores water in the thickened base of its stem)This modest-sized, moss green grass grows up to 3 feet (91.4 cm) tall. The very thin stalks grow in small clumps that are resilient and they are exceptionally hardy.
When mature, the end of the stem eventually transforms into a tiny, blood red puff.
During the early autumn, it produces very little pollen, and after flowering, it is left with lots of medium-sized grains.
