Blood Red Petunia

This massive flower grows up to 15.3 feet (4.6 meters) tall. Its blood red stem is thick and straight with a curved tip, and the small, orange leaves are very thin with wavy edges. The leaves grow from the base and are the same length as the stem.

6 to 11 tiny flowers grow on alternate sides up the length of the stem. The flowers are 76 cm (29.9 inches) wide, with magenta petals on the lower layer and silver petals decorated with magenta dots on the inner layer. The central disk is beige. The flower head is made up of handfuls of petals in raised layers. They detach easily.

It has an overpowering scent that smells like warm cookies, and it has lots of pollen. It is a self-pollinator, but is also particularly attractive to butterflies.
