Crimson Shrubby Pine

This short shrub grows up to 1 foot (30.5 cm) tall and lives for around 41 years. It is susceptible to disease and destructive insect infestation.

It has numerous long and flexible, wavy stems covered in paper-thin, rough, light brown bark, and the wood inside is burgundy-brown.

The branches trail down to the ground that and are covered with sparse amounts of miniature, pleated, leaves with smooth edges. The leaves themselves are a shade of emerald that gradient shifts to yellow at the top, resilient and crispy.

In early summer it produces hundreds of giant, light grey flowers with finger-like petals. They are sturdy and have a delicate scent that smells like new books.
