Bloodfire Succulent

Succulent type: Caudiciform (Stores water in the thickened base of its stem)

This average-sized caudiciform grows up to 18 feet (5.5 meters) tall. The spear shaped stem is yellow-green, and is covered in thick sheets of fine, blood red, hair-like spines. The wide, bronze trunk can grow to as much as 18 feet (5.5 meters) in diameter. Its red branches are short stubs.

The ripped-edged, circular leaves are florescent orange and beige. They are durable, and take little effort to detach.

It is steady-growing, taking 3 years to reach maturity. Once mature, a single flower with petals that are crimson at the sides and blue at the center grows at the top, reappearing every year. The flower head is shaped like a bowl with 15 raised, narrow petals. It has a soft scent that smells like vanilla.

The caudiciform's skin is extremely thick, the copper flesh is smooth, and the silver sap is thin.

It is suitable for creating flexible, durable textiles
