Crimson Creeper

Climbing plant type: Creeper (Grows along the ground or other low surfaces.)

This large creeper is a steady-growing plant, with the largest known specimen reaching a length of 82 feet (25.0 meters) and growing as high as 109 feet (33.2 meters). It prefers to grow on trees.

It takes 4 years for the orange-yellow stems to mature, by which point they often have a diameter of 10 inches (25 cm) and are smooth and slick.

The broad, flat, smooth leaves reach up to 2.2 feet (66 cm) in length. They are orange on the edges and crimson at the center, and have smooth edges.

During late spring, the creeper produces hundreds of average dark brown flowers.


The sap causes severe rashes
It is suitable for making baskets and the like
The entire plant is edible and the grains areoverwhelmingly savoury.
