Copper

Succulent type: Caudiciform (Stores water in the thickened base of its stem)

This enormous caudiciform grows up to 148 feet (45.1 meters) tall. The wide stem is copper, and is covered in thick sheets of fine, green, hair-like spines. It has a straight, thick, gnarled, yellow trunk atop a stocky block of waxy, exposed roots. The branches are stumpy and vivid green and trail down to the ground.

The ripped-edged, broad, flat leaves are found in sky blue and magenta varieties. They are sturdy, but are very difficult to pull away.

It is very fast growing, taking 4 months to reach maturity. Once mature, and only under the right conditions, a handful of flowers, with solid blood red petals decorated with pink dots and a indigo central disk, grow at the top, reappearing after 10 years, but only when the conditions are right again. The flower head is shaped like a sphere made up of several tightly layered, round-tipped petals. It has a delicate scent that smells like garlic.

The caudiciform's skin is thick, the brown flesh is rough, and the brown sap is thin.
