Creamgrass

Grass type: Biennial (Stores water in the thickened base of its stem)

This modest-sized, cream and grey grass grows up to 1 foot (30.5 cm) tall. The stiff, pointed stalks grow in extensive patches that are light and frail.

When mature, the end of the stem eventually transforms into a small, dark brown puff.

During the late summer, it produces a fair amount of pollen; it does not cause many allergic reactions, and after flowering, it is left with lots of medium-sized grains.

It is suitable for creating flexible, durable textiles
It absorbs an exceptionally large amount of water each day.
