Copper

This short caudiciform grows up to 5 feet (1.5 meters) tall. The very thin stem is brown or hazel, and is covered in brittle olive spines. The very thick, slate trunk can grow to as much as 5 feet (1.5 meters) in diameter. Its gray-green branches are very short and slender.

The smooth-edged, wispy leaves are either washed-out orange, or deep green with blood red lines. They are light, and detach easily.

It is slow growing, taking 50 years to reach maturity. Once mature, a handful of flowers, with each petal a slightly different shade of yellow, grow at the top, reappearing once every 4 years. The flower head is an uncoordinated mess of 40 curved petals. It has a mildly strong scent that smells like rotten eggs.

The caudiciform's skin is rock-hard, the copper flesh is rubbery, and the blood red sap is thin.
