Aquamarine Willow

This small shrub grows up to 1 foot (30.5 cm) tall and lives for around 48 years. It is very resistant to destructive insect infestation but susceptible to disease.

It has dozens of narrow, straight stems covered in ridged, light gray bark, and the wood inside is gray.

The branches are tall, rigid and upright with thousands of twigs that and are covered with large amounts of small, fan-like, leaves with tattered edges. The leaves themselves are found in bold green and aquamarine varieties, robust and soft.

In mid-spring it produces many medium-sized, dark brown blossoms with oval-shaped shaped petals. They are hardy and have the faintest scent that smells like a woman.

In late autumn triangular fruits ripen. The soft blue skin is stretchy and inedible, and the slightly crunchy green flesh is sour and savoury and very dry. The vivid green seed is small and is in the centre of the fruit.
