Caramelvine

This short bine is a quick growing plant, with the largest known specimen reaching a length of 17 feet (5.2 meters)0.

It takes 4 months for the green stems to mature, by which point they have tangled themselves into thick mats with a diameter of 2 cm (0.8 inches) and are flat and wavy.

The pleated, leathery leaves reach up to 4 inches (10 cm) in length. They are caramel on the edges and amber at the center, and have irregular edges.

During late spring, the bine produces bunches of giant olive flowers, and during the early autumn, after flowering, it produces a modest amount of large berries.
