Coppervine
Flower type: Perennial (Grows upwards by winding itself around other objects and plants.)This small flower grows up to 3 inches (8 cm) tall. Its copper stem is very thick, and the giant, green leaves are pleated with tattered edges. The leaves alternate on the stem from the base up to about halfway.
3 to 9 tiny flowers grow on alternate sides up the length of the stem. The flowers are 3 cm (1.2 inches) wide, with solid black petals decorated with vivid blue lines and a light purple central disk. The flower head is largely flat with 22 raised round-tipped petals. They are very delicate.
It has a mildly strong scent that smells like lemon, and it has lots of pollen,but it does not cause many allergic reactions. It is a self-pollinator.
It is said to be able to live for hundreds of years.
