Magenta Lime Tree
Fruit Tree type: Deciduous (Grows along the ground or other low surfaces.)This average-sized fruit tree grows up to 13 feet (4.0 meters) tall and lives for up to 30 years, with the oldest known specimen being around 84 years old. It is very resistant to disease but is susceptible to destructive insect infestation.
It has a branched, straight trunk covered in hard, waxy, brown bark, and inside, the light wood is gray.
The small handful of branches are short, rigid and upright and are covered with sparse amounts of large, spear shaped leaves with rounded edges. The leaves themselves are found in bold green and aquamarine varieties.
In early spring, it produces several medium-sized, grey blossoms with asymmetrical petals with a bell-shaped floral cup. They detach easily and have a scent that varies in strength that smells like sugar.
In early winter it produces small, oval fruit. The fuzzy magenta skin is thick and edible when roasted; it is sweet and sour, and the crunchy green flesh is sweet and sour and oily. The lime seed is small and sits at the top of the fruit.
The roots are long and grow straight down, and overall the tree is rigid and weak, and breaks apart easily.
Forests of this species feature trees spaced far apart, with grassy ground between them.
It is suitable for creating tough, hard-wearing textiles
Before maturity, it can grow 0 per day.
