Climbing plant type: Vine (Grows upwards by clinging to almost any surface.)This big vine is a steady-growing plant, with the largest known specimen reaching a length of 84 feet (25.6 meters) and growing as high as 123 feet (37.5 meters).
It takes 9 months for the pastel green stems to mature, by which point they sometimes have a diameter of 1.5 feet (46 cm) and are smooth and fuzzy.
The wispy, smooth leaves reach up to 2.0 feet (61 cm) in length. They are either magenta or pink, with bright orange patches, and have serrated edges.
During late spring, the vine produces a thick sheet of large aquamarine flowers, and during the early summer, after flowering, it produces a handful of very large fruits.
It out-competes most other plants for nutrients and light.
