Silverwood

Tree type: Coniferous (Grows upwards by clinging to almost any surface.)

This short tree grows up to 2 meters (6.6 feet) tall and lives for over 1,000 years, with the oldest known specimen being around 1997 years old. It is somewhat resistant to disease and destructive insect infestation.

It has a slender, curved trunk covered in hard, waxy, silver bark, and inside, the medium-dense wood is yellow.

The sparse amount of branches are short stubs, with dozens of twigs covered with large amounts of giant, orange-yellow needles. The needles themselves are strong.

In late summer it produces giant, white aril (seeds with fleshy covers).

The roots form a tightly packed ball, and overall the tree is sturdy and difficult to uproot.

Forests of this species feature trees spaced far apart, with the space between them filled with thick undergrowth.

It is suitable for creating flexible, durable textiles
