Bronze

This big caudiciform grows up to 20 feet (6.1 meters) tall. The very thick stem is bronze, and is covered in thick bunches of flexible bronze spines. The twisting, beige trunk can grow to as much as 20 feet (6.1 meters) in diameter in the middle. Its lime green branches are tall, rigid and upright and start growing at the base the stem.

The small amounts of smooth-edged, long, narrow leaves are amber and azure. They are rigid, but easily come away when pulled.

It is very slow growing, taking 3 years to reach maturity. Once mature, a single flower with petals that are generally magenta; each flower tends to be a variation of this colour grows at the top, reappearing every year. The flower head is shaped like a dish made up of dozens of tightly layered, narrow petals. It has a soft scent that smells like freshly baked bread.

The caudiciform's skin is nearly impenetrable, the orange flesh is soft, and the gold sap is thin.
