Turquoise

This average-sized shrub grows up to 3 feet (91.4 cm) tall and lives for around 95 years. It is very susceptible to disease and insect infestation.

It has many thick, straight stems covered in paper-thin, waxy, white with black speckled bark, and the wood inside is mahogany-coloured.

The branches trail down to the ground with dozens of twigs that and are covered with small amounts of miniature, 9 pointed, leaves with irregular edges. The leaves themselves are turquoise on the edges and grey at the center, resistant and leathery.

In mid-summer it produces dozens of medium-sized, violet flowers with needle-like petals with a bell-shaped floral cup. They detach easily and have a faint scent that smells like vanilla.
