Amberberry

This big fruit tree grows up to 34 feet (10.4 meters) tall and lives for up to 25 years, with the oldest known specimen being around 46 years old. It is very resistant to disease but is susceptible to destructive insect infestation.

It has a flexible, straight trunk covered in delicate, ridged, brown-green bark, and inside, the flexible wood is silver.

The small handful of branches are short stubs and are covered with large amounts of giant, thin leaves with smooth edges. The leaves themselves are hazel on the edges and amber at the center.

In early spring, it produces a handful of giant, pale yellow blossoms with asymmetrical petals with a trumpet-shaped floral cup. They are hardy and have an intense scent that smells like cheese.

In early winter it produces , pleated fruit. The rubbery grey skin is tough and bitter and sour, and the crunchy light brown flesh is salty and syrupy. The crimson seeds are tiny and are bunched at the top of the fruit.

The roots form a tightly packed ball, and overall the tree is rigid and weak, and breaks apart easily.

Forests of this species feature the trees packed together, with grassy ground between them.
