Climbing Coralvine

This huge vine is a very slow growing plant, with the largest known specimen reaching a length of 1,315 feet (400.8 meters) and growing as high as 195 feet (59.4 meters). It prefers to grow on specific trees.

It takes 26 years for the pink-red stems to mature, by which point they can reach a diameter of 1.1 feet (33 cm) and are rough and prickly.

The perforated, leathery leaves reach up to 2.3 feet (69 cm) in length. They are silver with bronze tips, and have serrated edges.

During late spring, the vine produces clusters of average aquamarine flowers.
