Clinging Emberbloom

Shrub type: Deciduous (Grows upwards by clinging to almost any surface.)

This average-sized shrub grows up to 2 feet (61.0 cm) tall and lives for around 99 years. It is very resistant to destructive insect infestation but susceptible to disease.

It has numerous long and flexible, wavy stems covered in smooth, black bark, and the wood inside is pine-coloured.

The branches are very long, thin and wispy with hundreds of twigs that and are covered with thick bunches of giant, perforated, leaves with wavy edges. The leaves themselves are dark grey and cream, resistant and fuzzy.

In late spring it produces handfuls of medium-sized, blood red flowers with spear shaped petals. They detach easily and have a strong scent that smells like coconut.


It usually houses a colony of beneficial insects.
It is suitable for use as a construction material
