Blackberry Creeper

This small creeper is a very fast growing plant, with the largest known specimen reaching a length of 20 feet (6.1 meters) and growing as high as 62 feet (18.9 meters).

It takes 4 months for the black stems to mature, by which point they can have a diameter of 1 cm (0.4 inches) and are hard and brittle.

The thick, smooth leaves reach up to 6 inches (15 cm) in length. They are pale purple and deep orange, and have serrated edges.

During late spring, the creeper produces many clusters of small magenta flowers, and during the early autumn, after flowering, it produces lots of small berries.
