Violetvine

This small bine is a quick growing plant, with the largest known specimen reaching a length of 18 feet (5.5 meters) and growing as high as 549 feet (167.3 meters).

It takes 9 months for the white stems to mature, by which point they can reach a diameter of 1 cm (0.4 inches) and are rough and gnarled.

The wide, sticky leaves reach up to 5 inches (13 cm) in length. They are either violet or green, with purple splotches, and have smooth edges.

During late spring, the bine produces many clusters of small slate flowers.
