Grass type: Biennial (Grows upwards by winding itself around other objects and plants.)This short, gray and hazel grass grows up to 1 foot (30.5 cm) tall. The shield-shaped stalks grow in thin clumps that are flimsy and they spread and grow quickly.
When mature, the end of the stem eventually transforms into a small, blood red tail.
During the late autumn, it produces very little pollen, but can cause severe allergic reactions, and after flowering, it is left with lots of medium-sized grains.
It is suitable for creating flexible, durable textiles
It blooms only at night.
