Copperflower

This large flower grows up to 3.4 feet (1.0 meters) tall. Its gray stem is wispy, and the giant, copper and gray-green leaves are brown on the underside and are fan-like with smooth edges. Many leaves grow along the entire length of the stem.

A single large flower sits at the end of the stem. The flowers are 14 cm (5.5 inches) wide, with solid magenta petals decorated with copper lines and a crimson central disk. The flower head is made up of 39 petals; the lower layer of petals are flat, while the upper layers form a tight star. They are hardy.

It has a weak scent that smells like apple, and it has lots of pollen. It is pollinated by the wind.
