Crimson Spiral

This modest-sized shrub grows up to 3 feet (91.4 cm) tall and lives for around 20 years. It is somewhat resistant to disease and destructive insect infestation.

It has numerous sturdy, wavy stems covered in hard, wrinkled, dark brown bark, and the wood inside is white with black speckles.

The branches are very short and thin with hundreds of twigs that and are covered with thick bunches of small, needle-like, leaves with ripped edges. The leaves themselves are yellow and bronze, frail and sticky.

In late summer it produces thick bunches of medium-sized, vivid red flowers with spiral petals with a bell-shaped floral cup. They are hardy and have a delicate scent that smells like a man.
