Magenta Cacti
Succulent type: Stem succulent (Stores water in its stem)This average-sized cactus grows up to 40 feet (12.2 meters) tall. The thin stem is magenta, and is covered in many fine, bronze, hair-like spines. The tear-shaped body is pink-red, and is covered in hundreds of rigid yellow spines.
It is very fast growing, taking 10 months to reach maturity. Once mature, several flowers with petals that are subtle blue at the sides and dark grey at the center grow at the top, reappearing every year. The flower head is shaped like a tube made up of dozens of widely spaced, narrow petals. It has a scent that varies in strength that smells like rotten eggs.
The cactus's skin is extremely thick, the bronze flesh is leathery, and the cream sap is thin and has hallucinogenic properties.
It is suitable for creating tough, hard-wearing textiles
