Bloodfire Petal

Flower type: Perennial (Stores water in its leaves)

This small flower grows up to 2 inches (5 cm) tall. Its orange-yellow stem is thick and splits into 10 branching stems a quarter of the way up, and the huge, brown leaves are pleated with rounded edges. Many leaves grow along the entire length of the stem.

6 to 12 small flowers grow on alternate sides up the length of the stem. The flowers are 3 cm (1.2 inches) wide, with petals that are silver in the center, caramel in the middle and blood red at the edges. The flower head is made up of 7 petals in raised layers. They are sturdy.

It has a weak scent that smells like pot-purri, and it has lots of pollen. It is a self-pollinator and is ignored by most insect species.

The leaves are bitter, but very healthy.
It is suitable for making paper
It aggressively steals nutrients from other large plants (but not each other).
