Blue Moss

This bold blue moss is commonly found growing in small clumps In heathlands.
It is short, growing up to 1 inch (3 cm) tall. It forms in thick clumps and they are slow to spread and grow, and is slightly flimsy; it struggles more than most during dry spells.
When mature, emerald triangular capsules grow at the end of short, lime green sporophytes, eventually opening up during the late autumn to release thousands of spores.
