Brown Tailgrass

This short, brown grass grows up to 1 foot (30.5 cm) tall. The stiff, pointed stalks grow in thin clumps that are robust and they overwhelm an area rapidly.

When mature, the end of the stem eventually transforms into a tiny, white tail.

During the late summer, it produces very little pollen; it can cause allergic reactions, and after flowering, it is left with lots of small grains.
