Crimson Succulent

This short leaf succulent grows up to 12 feet (3.7 meters) tall. The spear shaped stem is burgundy, and is dotted with small hazel spines. The pebble-like leaves are either gold or crimson, with blue edges. Large amounts of them grow on flat, orange branches that are very short and thin. The leaves are strong, and take little effort to detach.

It is slow growing, taking 2 years to reach maturity. Once mature, and only under the right conditions, a handful of flowers, with yellow petals on the lower layer and pale yellow petals decorated with yellow dots on the inner layer. The central disk is purple, grow at the top, reappearing after 2 years, but only when the conditions are right again. The flower head is made up of dozens of petals; the lower layer of petals are flat, while the upper layers form a tight tube. It has a strong scent that smells like blood.

The leaf succulent's skin is thick, the dull red flesh is rough, and the silver sap is thin.
