Bluevine

Climbing plant type: Vine (Grows upwards by clinging to almost any surface.)

This large vine is a steady-growing plant, with the largest known specimen reaching a length of 238 feet (72.5 meters) and growing as high as 115 feet (35.1 meters). It prefers to grow on trees.

It takes 18 months for the yellow-green stems to mature, by which point they have tangled themselves into thick mats with a diameter of 4 inches (10 cm) and are flat and wavy.

The pleated, soft leaves reach up to 1.2 feet (36 cm) in length. They are either vivid blue, or slate with blood red splotches, and have irregular edges.

During late spring, the vine produces hundreds of small light purple flowers.

It spreads easily and often blanket large areas.
It is suitable for creating fine, soft textiles
